Together, we are taking part in Food for Thought to help build healthy communities in India!

For the month of September we are giving up all beverages except tap water. That's right, ALL! This means no coffee, tea, juice, alcohol, soft drink, overpriced bottled water etc. 

We're taking part in this challenge because we want to live in a world where all children - no matter where they're born – live past their fifth birthday. For many kids, that won't be the case. 500,000 children die every year (that's almost 1,400 children a day) from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. These deaths can be prevented.

By making a donation, you'll be helping women like Nisha (pictured) train as health leaders so that they can reach out to families in their communities. Each health leader is able to teach more than 200 families about illness prevention, nutrition, basic health treatment and much more!

People living in poverty often have to make tough decisions like whether they will feed or educate their children. If they have to make incredibly unfair decisions like that every day, it's the least we could do to choose water over our morning coffee, lunchtime juice or cheeky night cap. 

We'd love it if you could support us – anything from $5 (overpriced spring water) to $20 (fancy cocktail) and even $50 (case of beer/cider) would be appreciated! We're aiming to raise $1425 - enough to fully equip three health leaders, who will collectively go on to help at least 600 families!
